If you’ll be 18 by the next election, you can vote.
Make your voice heard. Shape the future of your country.

WHO?

Every 2 years, 7 million Americans turn 18 and become eligible to vote.

These newly minted adults vote at a much lower rate than the general population.

If 18 and 19-year-olds voted at the same rate as other Americans, we’d have over 1.5 million additional voters in the next presidential election, and more than 750,000 additional voters in off-year elections.*

(Based on Census Bureau data for 2012 & 2014, adjusted for actual turnout)

HOW?

18by18.vote creates campaigns and programs to support teenage voter registration and voting.

Our bi-yearly branded campaigns welcome each new group of 16, 17, and 18-year-olds who will come of age during that election cycle.

TEEN VISION

18by18.vote campaigns are driven by teen content and teen vision. Voting is about stepping up to create the future of our country. Our campaigns give teenagers opportunities to express their vision through images, videos, words, and music.

preregistration laws -- Throughout the country, preregistration laws let teenagers register to vote before they turn 18. The details are governed by state law. Some states let teenagers preregister at 16, others at 17, and others 60 days before they turn 18. 18by18.vote will provide tools letting teenagers know when they can register based on the laws of their state.

In the meantime, you can find state-by-state information at USA.gov.
